Legislative Action Committee
About the Legislative Action Committee
This Committee monitors legislative efforts from other bodies—typically the Mayor’s Office and City Council via the Council File Management System—provides a forum for hearing from relevant stakeholders and policymakers, and suggests items for which the Board may take an official position. Most often, CHNC’s position is relayed via Community Impact Statements, which are appended with to the relevant Council File. However, Neighborhood Councils may also communicate directly with City agencies/authorities, and CHNC often does so via Resolution or letter.
