It's easy! You've already started the process by learning what your neighborhood council is about.

You can be as involved as you like. Some people are active on a daily basis. Others help out once a month or twice a year. Whatever works for you.

	Sign up now for CHNC's email newsletter. Keep in touch with what's going on.
	Come by our next monthly meeting. Check the calendar. We meet the fourth Monday of every month.
	What matters to you? What kinds of projects would you like to work on? Take a look at CHNC's committees. Contact the head of a group you're interested in or send an email to GetInvolved@CHNC.org and we'll help you find your place.

We Need Your Help!

Here's a few areas we're looking to expand.

Block Captain	CONTACT: mary@CHNC.org
You are CHNC's key contact person for your street. You let your neighbors know of CHNC activities and encourage them to become active in the community. You also keep abreast of law enforcement concerns on your block and report to an LAPD Team Leader responsible to our neighborhood.

Outreach	CONTACT: jeff@CHNC.org
Help spread the CHNC word! Walk door-to-door once a month informing people of their Community Council. We're especially looking for Spanish and Tagalog speakers.

Track bulky items left on streets	CONTACT: fred@CHNC.org
As part of the Beautification Committee, CHNC has launched an assault on furniture left in our streets. Help search for these items and report your findings to the Department of Sanitation.
